Your Role as a Food Service Assistant
As an FSA, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen and care teams by ensuring residents receive high-quality meals in a safe, hygienic environment.
🔹 Set up dining areas and serveries for meal times.
🔹 Prepare tea trolleys and refreshments for residents.
🔹 Maintain food safety standards, including dishwashing and cleaning.
🔹 Assist with meal preparation when required.
🔹 Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Program (e.g., temperature checks, cleaning schedules).
What You Bring
✔ Experience in hospitality, catering, or aged care (preferred but not essential).
✔ Knowledge of Australian Food Standards & Food Safety.
✔ Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
✔ Ability to work independently and in a team.
✔ Digital literacy to manage records and food safety documentation.
